Large exercise of the water guard: motorcycling boat successfully crowned!
On the site of port Zeil GmbH, a special practice of the water guard Sand/Zeil recently took place. The cranes of a motorcycling boat in the inland navigation road Main focused on. This procedure is particularly important because the quality of the slip systems decreases along the Main, which is why the cranes represents an effective and necessary alternative. In this context, however, the slip systems in the Haßberge district are in good condition, which always enables the water guard to get into the water quickly.
The company premises were thankfully provided by port Zeil GmbH, and Matthias Popp, an employee of the company, supported the exercise as a crane operator. Before the motorcycle boat got into the water, comprehensive security instruction took place. In order to ensure security during the exercise, another motorcycling boat from the water guard was positioned in the water. In addition, the Schweinfurt water protection police was on site, which provided a constructive exchange.
efficient cranes and teamwork
After the motorboat was professionally left to water using the crane, it was secured with linen and then moved to the quay wall. The crew could then go on board to carry out a short journey on the Main. These practical exercises are essential to strengthen teamwork between the water watch, the fire brigade and the water protection police. In the sense of the common commitment, the boat operators were prepared and trained for different scenarios.
As the water guard emphasizes, the requirements for the boat operators are high. In Germany, for example, DLRG relies on extensive training to ensure that the boat operators are able to keep rescue equipment and provide the best possible help. The training includes numerous content such as general legal bases, weather studies, driving maneuvers and dealing with dew and knot. The rescuers are perfectly prepared for inserts with motorcycling boats that are controlled by specially trained boat drivers.
water rescue is an important aspect of volunteering. Water rescuers, whether at DLRG or in other organizations, take on the monitoring of bathing beaches, intervene in an emergency and ensure the safety of water sports enthusiasts and bathers. The use extends not only to summer months, but also on winter conditions when there are special dangers such as ice accidents. The water guard and DLRG provide indispensable help and save people as well as animals from water.
The complex cooperation of all actors, which was deepened this time during the exercise at the quarry lake in Sand am Main, is therefore a key to effective and successful water rescue. Even if there are challenges such as the return loading of the boat, both the water guard as well as the fire brigade and water protection police show that they have a good knack for safety on the water.
for everyone involved is certain: regular exercises like this remains the operational readiness and ensures safety on our waters.
