Rediscover Fürth: A guest in your own city” in August 2025!

Finally it's that time again: a very special experience is just around the corner for the people of Fürth. From August 9th to 10th and August 30th to 31st, 2025 you can get to know your hometown from the perspective of a tourist. The “Visit in your own city” event is taking place for the eighth time and offers an attractive package for everyone who is curious about their city. According to Marktspiegel a double room for two people only costs 79 euros and includes many amenities.

The package not only includes overnight accommodation and breakfast, but also a welcome drink, city tours and entry to the Fürth museums. This offers the opportunity to discover the cultural treasures of the city. A total of around 80 double rooms are available in eight different partner hotels every weekend. These include well-known hotels such as the Hotel NH Fürth Nuremberg, the Holiday Inn – the niu Saddle Fürth and the Ambienthotel am Europakanal.

Insights into the city's history

There is an attractive supporting program for everyone who would like to experience the special flair of Fürth. Participants can experience the city's history up close on interesting tours. The themed tours include highlights such as “What the stones testify to” at the old Jewish cemetery or a construction site tour of the former broadcasting museum. An evening walk under the title “Fürth & Nuremberg – (No) Love” promises additional exciting insights.

In order to get to know the city's cultural institutions better, in addition to the Jewish Museum Franconia, the city museum and the art gallery Fürth are opening their doors. There is a lot to discover here for culture-loving visitors, which is why hardly any stone is left unturned, so to speak!

Are you still afraid of the onslaught? No worries! From Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 12 p.m., those interested can register via the [Tourismus Fürth] website (https://www.tourismus-fuerth.de/planen-buchen/angebote-erlebnisse/zu-gast-in-der-igen-stadt). It is important to note that only people from Fürth who can show a valid ID are allowed to take part. After booking, you will receive a written confirmation and possibly a voucher for the VGN weekend ticket. This enables free use of local transport and takes you comfortably to the various offers.
