Referendum on the B2: Decision on traffic patterns on January 18th!

There are big decisions ahead in Fürstenfeldbruck. Next Sunday, January 18th, around 28,000 eligible voters will have the opportunity to have a say in the referendum on the **Future of the B2**. This vote revolves around the relocation of the busy federal highway, which has been running along Oskar-von-Miller-Straße since 1957 and causes a lot of traffic in the city. The ongoing renovation plans for the Amper Bridge add additional urgency to this debate.

Election notifications have been sent to citizens since December 16th. In recent weeks, residents have been intensively engaging with the issue and additional services have been offered to obtain information. As the Circle messenger reports, online information, FAQs and expert statements are available on the “Brucker StadtTalke” website. In addition, a large information evening took place on January 8th in the Fürstenfeldbruck event forum, which attracted over 300 visitors. Here, citizens were able to talk directly to experts during catering and open discussions.

Voting options and locations

All eligible voters should have received their postal voting documents and voting slip in a timely manner. There is also the option to vote in person in a total of five ballot box voting districts. Loud South German newspaper these are the following locations:

  • Rathausfoyer (Hauptstraße 31)
  • Vorraum Treppenhaus Schule West (Abt-Anselm-Straße 12)

  • Mehrgenerationenhaus LiB, großer Saal, Obergeschoss (Am Sulzbogen 56)

To take part in the vote, voters must bring their voting slip and an identification document. It is recommended that you also have your ballot paper ready. The first results of the vote will be presented on Sunday, January 18th, from 6 p.m. in the city laboratory, Pucher Straße 6a. Further interim and final results will be published on the city website and on the “Brucker Stadttalke” platform.
