Double burglaries in Waldkirchen: perpetrators steal cash and flee!

In the last few days, the citizens of Waldkirchen have experienced a lot of horror, as there were two break-ins in the region within a short period of time. As the PNP reports, the suspects forcibly gained access to the premises by breaking windows. In particular, on the night of June 14th to 15th, an unknown person broke into the reception of a holiday apartment rental in Böhmzwiesel. The perpetrator stole cash in the lower five-figure range from a roll container. The second incident also took place the following night, when a carpentry office in Ensmannsreut was broken into. Here the burglar was able to steal an amount in the low four-figure range from a broken cash box. Both break-ins left significant damage to the windows and the police immediately launched an investigation and carried out forensic investigations. Due to the similarities in the procedures, the authorities suspect that the crime is connected, possibly even with other burglaries in the district PNP.

As the saying goes: "Where there is a lot of light, there is also a lot of shadow." These incidents are part of a larger series of burglaries that have been observed in Waldkirchen since November 2017. Passau24 reports that the police have now identified two 23-year-old men as the main suspects. Their extensive investigative work and several apartment searches led to the arrest of the two men, who have since confessed. With uninhibited audacity, the perpetrators broke into shops, inns and clubhouses every two to three days, thereby channeling their displeasure at the fateful situation into the vacuum of crime. The main perpetrator even had an outstanding arrest warrant for other crimes and is now in prison. In addition to the burglaries, the two are also being investigated for various drug offenses Passau24.

Burglary statistics without end

In a broader context, it should be noted that the burglary statistics in Germany show a steep increase overall.
