The volleyball players of the SC Freising played two valuable home games last weekend, which were not only crucial for staying in the league, but also significantly lifted the mood in the team. With an exciting win against TG Landshut and a clear win over VC/DJK Passau, the team managed to move up to third place in the South-East Regional League.

In the first game against TG Landshut things went really well. SC Freising secured the victory 3:2, with the sets ending at 25:12, 19:25, 25:14, 18:25 and in the decisive tiebreak 15:10. Coach Falk Ullmann had mixed feelings after the game as the team played well in the first and third sets, while the performance in the fourth set left a lot to be desired. The players' fighting spirit was particularly remarkable in the tiebreak, when they were initially 9:7 behind, but fought back and ultimately came out on top. Captain Romy Hagn was a crucial support for the team with her strong serves and smashes.

Dominance in the second game

The second game of the day against VC/DJK Passau went much more smoothly. SC Freising won 3-0 (25:23, 25:20, 25:16). From the middle of the second set, the team took control of the game and gave the guests no chance. The positive trend not only gives the volleyball players a boost for the current season, but also sheds light on the club's strong youth work.
