100 years of SVA Palzing: Big anniversary celebration with Django Asül and more!
A very special anniversary is just around the corner: the SVA Palzing, a local institution, is turning 100 years old. From June 13th to 15th, 2025, the club is hosting a big festival that invites you to celebrate and brings the history of the club to life. This was also reported, among other things Mercury.
The festival program promises numerous highlights. On Friday, June 13th, cabaret artist Django Asül will provide entertainment with his program “Am Ende vor”. It starts at 8:00 p.m., admission is at 6:00 p.m. The next day, June 14th, there will be various sporting activities on the program all day, before the club evening from 7:00 p.m. with shows and a film about the club's 100-year history. The crowning conclusion of the festival is Sunday, June 15th, with a traditional white sausage breakfast, a celebratory church procession and a celebratory service, followed by live music and a cozy conclusion with coffee and cake.
A look back at the club's history
The SVA Palzing has an eventful history that began in 1925 when the club was founded. Initially, football was played on the “Zellmer Anger”. Soon, in 1928, a football pitch was built on a former gravel and rubbish site. The gaming operation itself had to pause during the Third Reich and in the post-war period. A special milestone was the founding of the first women's team in 1950, which is still part of the club today.
In 1965, the first sports center was built at Ampertalstrasse 2, followed by a new building in 1990. Over the years, the club also experienced sporting success - in 1988/89 it was promoted to the district league. The handball department, which was founded in 1972, is also very popular. The first women's team is currently playing in the district league.
Celebrations and “Ampermania”
In addition to the big anniversary, there is also a traditional event, “Ampermania”, which will take place on Wednesday, June 18th. Since its founding in 1997, “Ampermania” has developed into an event with cult status that is attended by many.
Tickets for Django Asül's cabaret can now be purchased either at the usual sales points such as the Taschner drinks market and the Schindele bakery or online at www.reservix.de. Prices are €27.00 at points of sale and €30.90 online.
With around 830 members, the SVA Palzing is not only a place for sporting activities, but also a lively part of the community. Loud Sports member Clubs in Germany play a central role in promoting social values and the socialization of young people - and that is exactly what SVA Palzing embodies.
Especially in times when analogue activities are becoming increasingly important again, it is important to use such occasions to promote cohesion and community. The festival weekend will offer exactly that: joy, togetherness and a portion of history - so let's get to the celebrations!
