20 years of Holzbau Blümlein: Ceremony in Forchheim inspires everyone!

On October 30, 2025, the Holzbau Blümlein company in Forchheim celebrated a very special anniversary: 20 years of successful company history. A big party was held on the company premises in Breitweidig in brilliant weather, which not only attracted employees, but also partners and friends of the company. Managing Director Philipp Blümlein didn't miss the opportunity to look back on the company's impressive journey.

The success story began in 2005 when Philipp and Britta Blümlein founded the company in a modest garage. The company has since developed from a small craft business into a respected timber construction specialist in the region. “In the last few years we have processed around 5,000 cubic meters of wood, over 120,000 square meters of bricks and around 3,000 roof windows,” revealed Blümlein. The company's expansion began in 2014 when it moved to Niedermirsberg, before moving into its first hall in Breitweidig in 2017. A second hall was built here, which is equipped with a modern CNC carpentry system.

Celebrate together and look back with gratitude

Festive celebrations are not only a highlight in the company calendar, but also an important part of the company identity. This is made clear by the exhibition “Companies celebrate. Corporate festival culture in transition,” which is shown by the Bavarian Economic Archives in the IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria. This emphasizes the role of company meetings and celebrations for cohesion within the workforce and communication between employees and company management. “Those who work hard should also celebrate hard,” is the motto of the exhibition, which can be visited until November 7, 2024 and also presents the variety of celebrations in companies between 1850 and 1970. Events such as company anniversaries and company outings strengthen the sense of community and recognition of employees for their achievements.

Philipp Blümlein also wanted to thank all employees, without whom this success would not have been possible. “Over the last 20 years, we have not only built a company, but also a community,” he said. In his speech, he also appealed to politicians to provide more support to companies and reduce bureaucracy in order to promote crafts.

A successful end to the festival

After the official part of the festival, things really got going: there was music, delicious regional food and a varied entertainment program for the guests. In a relaxed atmosphere, not only personal anecdotes from the company's history were exchanged, but new ideas for the future were also discussed. “The after-work beer doesn’t have to be the only reason for a good collaboration,” Blümlein joked in an interview with the employees.

While Holzbau Blümlein has achieved milestones in the last two decades, its focus remains clearly on the future. The combination of tradition and innovation will continue to be the focus when it comes to actively shaping the region's building history.
