Erdinger Christmas market: 10,000 euros main prize for Michael Neid!

The pre-Christmas period in Erding was particularly under control for the residents this year. On December 21, 2025 at 6 p.m. the eagerly awaited drawing of the main prizes of the Rotary Club Erding's traditional Christmas raffle took place. The lucky winners were announced in a festive ceremony conducted by none other than the Christ child of the city of Erding. The Rotary Club Erding, which has been active since 1989, supports numerous social projects in the region with the proceeds from the tombola, and does so unanimously with great commitment and enthusiasm.

Overall, the main prizes were numerous and varied. The main winner, Michael Neid, was able to claim a whopping win of10,000 euroslook forward to (lot number6737). The 35-year-old tax officer had bought ten tickets and can hardly believe he won. Overjoyed, he plans to use the money to buy a new dishwasher and treat himself to a vacation. “I had to check the numbers several times, it was so unbelievable for me,” he said after the drawing.

Extensive price list and prize distribution

In addition to the main prize, there were many other attractive prizes, including:

• Goldbarren 10g (Losnummer 2459, gesponsert von der Sparkasse Erding)
• 1 Jahr Freibier (20 Kästen) (Losnummer 2108, gesponsert von Erdinger Weissbräu)
• Einkaufsgutscheine und viele mehr.

A total of 40,000 tickets were sold and every ticket holder could look forward to an instant win. The entire campaign resulted in proceeds of approx24,000 euros, which will be used for a variety of social projects in the district, which makes the raffle not only fun, but also valuable support for those in need.

Insights into the Rotary Club’s projects

The Rotary Club Erding has launched numerous fundraising and support campaigns over the years. Examples of this include the establishment of a counseling center for youth welfare and addiction therapy, the renovation of the city tower and various support for old people's homes and schools. Their commitment aims at social welfare, youth development and cultural preservation. The Christmas event has been taking place as part of the Christmas market since 2002, and since then net proceeds have totaled approx320,000 eurosachieved, which is now approximately350,000 eurosshould be increased.

The future pick-up dates for the prizes have already been set: On January 8th, 9th, 12th and 13th, 2026 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. the prizes can be picked up at the Biersack.Brunner Ingenieure architectural firm at Katharina-Fischer-Platz in Erding. There will also be a redraw for the main prize on January 13, 2026 if the main winner does not respond by January 6, 2026. By the way: Unclaimed winnings will expire on January 27, 2026 in favor of the tombola's social goals.
