Focus on the Catholic rural youth movement

Since its founding in 1947, the Catholic Rural Youth Movement of Germany (KLJB) has established itself as an important organization that is primarily active in rural regions. With around 70,000 members, the KLJB is one of the largest youth associations in Germany and plays an important role in representing the interests of young people in rural areas. There are also over 1,900 local groups committed to rural development, social issues and a vibrant church. The KLJB is an important part of the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ) and also maintains close contacts with other social and political organizations.

A particularly notable aspect of the KLJB is its commitment to ecological concerns and sustainable development. Over the past decades, the association has launched various educational courses and initiatives to raise awareness and encourage members to take responsibility both locally and globally. The focus on democratic principles, ecological issues and social justice creates a broad base of activities and projects that inspire the young people in the KLJB to actively participate in shaping their future.

With the event on September 14th, the KLB not only contributes to strengthening the community spirit among former members, but also promotes the positive values that stand for the KLJB. A deep understanding of rural development and active community involvement will be attractive to a new generation of young people ready to make their voices heard.
