The “Mental Lunch” invites visitors to a short tour lasting around 20 minutes, which focuses on previously unknown views of the city. Under the shady roof of the museum, participants can expect particularly insightful insights into the art and architecture of Eichstätt, where the cathedral and Willibaldsburg are presented as central symbols.
Dr. Claudia Grund, the museum director, will start the tour at 12.15 p.m. at the museum box office. The participation fee is a fair 4 euros and also includes entry to the museum. This is a great way to get to know the collection of over 4,000 pieces, ranging from fine art to the curious and kitschy. The special exhibition entitled “From Art to Curios” offers the perfect stage for this.
Art treasures from 1200 years
The Cathedral Treasure and Diocesan Museum is much more than just a place for art.
