The Reich Street Festival in Donauwörth is in full swing and promises a colorful mix of entertainment and gastronomy. From July 16 to 19, 2025, numerous events will take place here that will attract not only locals but also visitors from the surrounding area. The official opening of the festival began yesterday, July 16th, at 12 p.m. with a big ceremony at which Mayor Jürgen Sorré took the floor. The first event with music and a program for all age groups ended on the opening day between 12 p.m. and midnight.
Today, July 17th, a comprehensive program continues. The festival starts at 11:00 a.m. A special highlight is the seniors' afternoon, which delights with music and entertainment on stage B. From 2 p.m., little festival visitors can look forward to an extensive children's program. There will be a lot of fun with Rodscha from Cambodia and Tom Palme on stage C and Bernie's colorful stage in the playground (stage D). The Donauwörth Music School also presents various ensembles on stage A, while the Frohsinn Buchdorf music club shows its skills on stage B. By the afternoon at the latest, the samba group Pimento will be moving through Reichsstrasse and creating a good atmosphere.
Evening entertainment and gastronomy
The musical evening program starts at 7:00 p.m. and has a lot in store. The party band Paradise will get the crowds dancing on stage A, while the city band Donauwörth will play on stage B and Stefano Messina Music will provide additional musical accents on stage C. The festival offers an excellent opportunity to end the evening with good food and drinkable delicacies. Catering is available until midnight, so even late visitors get their money's worth.
The opening hours of the festival are generous for all days. So you can celebrate on Friday, July 18th, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and on Saturday, July 19th, the festival can even begin from 9 a.m., also until 1 a.m. in the morning. For those who want to travel by bus, there are extended operating times for city bus lines 1, 2, 3 and 6 as well as additional lines to Schäfstall and Wörnitzstein.
Traffic and arrival information
Since many streets in the festival area will be closed from July 15th to July 20th, visitors should find out in advance about possible diversions and stop relocations. The “Liebfrauenmünster” and “Marienapotheke” stops were relocated to Berger Vorstadt and Klostergasse so that everyone can move comfortably and safely to the festival site.
