Streber return: 8000 young fish for the Isar near Landau!

What's going in Landau? The Isar has grown again! Around 8,000 young fish of the rare kind of nerd were recently released to stabilize the contaminated fish stock in the region. This campaign is the result of successful re -breeding measures by the State Office for the Environment (LFU) in Wielenbach. With a targeted species aid project, attempts are made to get the highly endangered Danube bins in the Bavarian waters on the ground again. The nerd appears in the red list of endangered species and can only be seen in small remaining stocks in the Bavarian Danube and its tributaries, which makes the resettlement all the more important.

The renaturation measures that the Landshut water management office conducts in cooperation with the government of Lower Bavaria already have an effect. In recent years, over 34,000 of these twilight-active fish have been applied, with the positive analysis of water samples on DNA traces of the stray that the measures are doing well. By expanding its banks and creating a gravel substrate, the Isar now offers suitable living conditions for this type of fish. According to Br.de, the offspring took place in a pond system in the Weilheim-Schongau district, where the fish could be optimally used.

The location of the fish stocks in Bavaria

The nerd is not only in its danger. A comprehensive investigation by the Institute for Fisheries shows that numerous fish species in Bavaria are under pressure. According to the Bavarian Red List, over 57% of domestic fish species are at risk. The current situation of the flow water fish stocks is described as rather poor - many stocks stagnate at a low level. These developments lead to a noticeable decline in biodiversity, which can mess up the ecological balance.

One of the main causes for the negative development of fish stocks are expansion measures of the water themselves. Construction sites and structural changes in and around the rivers ensure that the habitat of the fish is restricted. LFL Bayern emphasizes that renaturation projects and targeted re -resettings are absolutely necessary to protect the fish fauna.

positive views for the Isar

The previous renaturation and resettlement measures on the Isar give reason to hope. Cooperation between the various authorities and fishing associations is an indispensable part of the project. In the coming years, the fish ecological situation at the Isar will be examined in detail to plan the progress for monitors and other measures, such as [pnp] (https://www.pnp.de/lokales/Landkreis-dingolfing-landau/kleine-streber-wieder-wiedersansiedlung-der-fischen-fischen-18868265). Sustainably guided fishing also gets a high priority.

With the successful trim of the stray and the positive development trends in the Isar, Bavarian fishing policy is a good example of how environmental protection and fish stocks can go hand in hand. It remains to be hoped that similar projects will also do in other parts of Bavaria's school and the fish population in the domestic waters will be found again.
