Sparkasse supports projects: 10,600 euros for youth and nature conservation!
The mood in the Dingolfing-Landau district was particularly good recently, because the Sparkasse Foundation supported four very different projects with a generous sum totaling 10,600 euros. These donations were handed over at a ceremony by District Administrator Werner Bumeder and Walter Strohmaier, CEO of Sparkasse Niederbayern-Mitte. This support represents the Sparkasse's commitment to promoting local initiatives and values the voluntary work of those involved in the projects.
A proud amount of 5,000 euros was donated to the municipal youth worker Regina Hurmer, who organizes the Youth Culture Days, a three-week series of events that offers young artists the opportunity to perform. “This not only promotes talent, but also strengthens the self-confidence of our young people,” explains District Administrator Bumeder during the handover. The Youth Culture Days are a social highlight and show that our district has a good hand when it comes to promoting culture.
Focus on nature conservation and education
Another recipient is the landscape conservation association, which receives 3,000 euros for the protection of curlews and lapwings in the Königsauer Moos. These resources are crucial for leaving fields and meadows uncultivated so that the birds can breed undisturbed. This shows that nature conservation is really important and those responsible are acting carefully to preserve the biodiversity of our region.
The State Vocational School for Child Care in Landau a.d.Isar is also not left out: This educational institution receives 1,400 euros to purchase an electric piano to support early musical education. A step that not only promotes training, but also brings a lot of joy to the little ones.
Inclusion through sport
Last but not least, the Landau a.d.Isar e.V. district Caritas association received 1,200 euros to purchase water sports equipment for people with disabilities. Managing director Martin Hohenberger emphasized that this support is by no means a given and underlined how important it is that everyone has the same opportunities to do sports.
In summary, this Sparkassenstiftung initiative is a wonderful example of solidarity in action in the Dingolfing-Landau district. Support ranges from culture to conservation to social inclusion and shows how diverse and engaged our community is. “We would like to thank everyone who is committed to these projects,” concluded Walter Strohmaier, emphasizing that such initiatives bring society closer together.
