New managing director at the Lower Bavaria Forum: Strong impulses for the region!
There is a breath of fresh air in regional economic development in Lower Bavaria. Dr. Reinhard Saller, the new managing director of the Niederbayern-Forum e.V., recently paid a visit to District Administrator Werner Bumeder. His goal: to provide new impetus for the region's economic development. The Lower Bavaria Forum is intended to strengthen the region's competitiveness and specifically support economic development. Dingolfing-Landau reports that Saller and Bumeder want to work closely with the member companies to better highlight Lower Bavaria's strengths.
“Lower Bavaria is a real doer region,” says Saller, describing the region that is known for its focus, speed and tireless work ethic. But that's not all: the attractive landscape and the hard-working people are essential factors for the positive development. Another goal that Dr. Saller's goal is to raise awareness of the region, especially with a view to attracting skilled workers who are necessary for a sustainable economic future.
New momentum through exchange platforms
In order to meet these goals, the Lower Bavaria Forum plans to establish exchange platforms such as business meetings. These events are intended to help promote networking among companies while opening up new business opportunities. The district administrator himself emphasized the importance of the network for the image of Lower Bavaria and sees it as an important building block for the future of the entire region.
But the region is not without challenges. A current new edition of the “Structural Data” – published by the Lower Bavaria Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate Chamber of Crafts, the Government of Lower Bavaria and the Lower Bavaria Forum – shows where the problems lie. Lower Bavaria informed that companies are struggling with high labor and energy costs, an acute labor shortage, bureaucratic burdens as well as falling demand and international uncertainty.
The structural data offers a compact overview of Lower Bavaria as a business location and is divided into nine chapters that address, among other things, population, labor market, income, infrastructure and education. The publication impressively shows how diverse the challenges are and at the same time offers valuable information for companies that are or want to be based in the region.
Digital transformation of business reporting
According to information from the structural data, the reports have only appeared digitally since 2023 and the data is continuously updated. In this way, the regional economy always remains in the focus of the actors and can react to changing conditions. The structural data is available via the publishers' websites and is intended to provide companies with a handy tool to help them orientate themselves better.
In summary, it can be said that Dr. Reinhard Saller, the Lower Bavaria Forum and the regional players are working together to highlight the region's strengths and advance economic development. With a good hand and a clear focus on cooperation, Lower Bavaria could soon appear in the best light again.
