New training compass: information on career orientation for students!

Something exciting is happening in career orientation in the Dingolfing-Landau district! An online event will take place on July 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. to present the new training compass, which is intended to offer valuable support for students. This reports dingolfing-landau.de. Through the free distribution service to all schools in the district, young people could finally get a better overview of the variety of training offers.

But what exactly is the training compass? It will be available not only in printed form, but also online. This gives students access to central information about apprenticeships at any time, such as content, requirements and perspectives. Training companies also have the opportunity to present their offers in both printed and digital editions. District Administrator Werner Bumeder emphasizes the importance of the compass and emphasizes that Dingolfing-Landau is the first district in Lower Bavaria to implement this project in order to specifically support young people in their career choices.

Invitation to the online event

The online event is aimed particularly at training companies that would like to receive information about the training compass. Interested companies can contact Lisa Wutz on 08731/87167 or via email to lisa.wutz@landkreis-dingolfing-landau.de to register in the compass. To take part in the presentation, companies can register via the Registration link on Eventbrite register.

The idea behind the training compass is clear: support for young people in their career orientation should be improved by offering a comprehensive overview of the various training paths. Information about the training occupations is not only relevant for students at secondary schools, but also for visitors to training fairs. In this way, young people can make a targeted and well-founded decision about which career path they would like to pursue.

Promotion and support for career entry

The importance of sound career guidance cannot be overestimated. There are various support offers for this in Germany. Like that Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) informed, the employment agencies help young people with their training and career choice. There you will find individual career advice and information about training paths, requirements and careers. These services are designed to help students find realistic alternatives when what they want may not be what they need.

All of this plays into the strategic direction of the new training compass, which will support future trainees in the district in finding a suitable training position from October 2025. The mixture of immediate information and the opportunity to actively participate in the compass shows that a good hand for young people's career choices is demonstrated here.

Overall, it will be interesting to see how this innovative concept develops and whether other districts will follow suit. One thing is certain: for everyone involved, but especially for the young people in the Dingolfing-Landau district, this represents valuable assistance in the crucial phase of their professional careers.
