The contemplative pre-Christmas season has begun! On the first weekend of Advent, the traditional Christmas market took place in the courtyard of the Eichendorfer Postsaal in the Dingolfing-Landau district. The sponsors and trade association as well as the stand operators worked hard to decorate the market festively. It sparkled and shone everywhere, creating an atmospheric atmosphere. Mayor Josef Beham and Franz Jahrstorfer, the chairman of the trade association, opened the festival with warm words and a clear invitation to everyone to visit the varied stands.
The little guests ensured a merry hustle and bustle. Many children milled around the market, where they were thrilled by the presence of Santa Claus. He attended the celebrations late in the afternoon on both days and handed out small gifts to the children who were waiting with shining eyes.
Enjoyment for young and old
Culinary highlights were also provided. The ski club's “Knödlhüttn” was a popular meeting point, while the support and trade association served a hearty goulash soup and delicious crepes. There were also typical Christmas drinks, gingerbread and many other delicacies in the sales huts. The cakes offered by the parents' council of the Archie Noah children's area were also particularly popular. The stalls were full of handmade gifts and festive decorations that would make any Christmas lover's heart beat faster.
Another big hit were the alpacas from Alpakahof Aigner. The animals, which children love, were petted extensively and were the attraction of the market. The organizers are happy about the lively participation of the local clubs and would like to thank all the exhibitors who helped create the Christmas atmosphere in Eichendorf.
