Dingolfing-Landau: 15 women start as new daycare workers!

Today was a celebratory day in Dingolfing-Landau for 15 women who successfully completed their qualifications in child day care. They have received childcare worker certificates after completing a comprehensive qualification course. This course was given by District youth welfare office offered in close cooperation with the Catholic Adult Education (KEB) and included an impressive 160 hours of teaching and 20 practical hours.

The graduates have acquired valuable knowledge in the areas of pedagogy and child day care, which they can now use in their work as assistants in day care centers and as independent day care workers. Juliane Grämer, team leader for child day care at the district office, presented the certificates with warm congratulations. The happy graduates include Stefanie Achberger, Anna Baierl, Seher Güngör and many other committed women.

The training and its requirements

Qualifying as a childminder is an important step in ensuring high-quality care for children under the age of three. The training requirements are diverse and vary depending on the region. In Berlin, for example, applicants for a care permit must complete a basic qualification of 300 teaching units together with an assessment of learning outcomes, whereby the content also extends to legal principles and cooperation with parents, as the website of Child day care Berlin reported.

The basis for training in Germany can be found in the DJI curriculum “Qualification in Child Day Care”, which is a tried and tested model. It is important that childcare workers undergo regular training to meet the latest standards. According to the Education server Youth welfare offices, family education centers and adult education centers offer relevant courses.

The need for trained specialists

The demand for qualified day care workers is high as many parents are increasingly looking for flexible care options for their little ones. Gabriele Röhrl from the child day care supervisory authority announced that those interested can register for the next qualification course. Today's graduates are an enrichment not only for themselves, but also for the very little ones who are now in their hands. It is encouraging to see how committed the community is to early childhood care and thus making a positive contribution to the future.
