Berlin triumphs in the Czech Republic! Munich with its first win of the season!

Today brings some great news from the ice hockey world! In the preparation phase for the new season, some teams were able to enjoy impressive results. The Eisbären Berlin secured the title at the Energie AG Motor Cup in Budweis, defeating the hosts 5-3. Andreas Eder was particularly outstanding, scoring two goals and also preparing another goal. Another first bright spot comes from Munich, who triumphed 6-2 in the game against Salzburg after initially being 2-0 down. Yasin Ehliz contributed two goals, which points to a promising season. Munich had two successes in preparation: In addition to the victory over Salzburg, they also secured third place in the Red Bulls Salute.

But it's not just in Munich that there is reason to be happy! Augsburg had to admit defeat against Lugano 2-3 in a penalty shootout in the final of the JAKO Bodensee Cup, but led 2-1 until the 54th minute thanks to goals from Riley Damiani and D.J. Busdeker. Schwenningen, on the other hand, lost to Rapperswil 1:3, with Boaz Bassen scoring the only goal for his team.

Hessian derby and other exciting matches

The focus was particularly on the Hessian derby between Kassel and Frankfurt, where the Huskies triumphed with a 5-3 victory. Darren Mieszkowski once again demonstrated his skills by scoring three goals and assisting two more. Another foretaste of the coming season can be seen in Iserlohn, where the team won 4-1 against Düsseldorf, while Krefeld even came from 1-0 down to win 6-1 against Amiens thanks to a hat trick from Mathew Santos.

In Deggendorf the hosts defeated Bad Nauheim 5-3 in the CCM Cup, while Weiden won against Heilbronn 6-1 and Cedric Schiemenz shone with two goals and an assist. Ravensburg is approaching the next challenges as a passionate team and showed this impressively when they won against Memmingen in overtime, with Mark Rassell scoring the decisive equalizer and the winning goal.

For the teams, this was not only a chance to prove themselves in the competition, but also to prepare for the upcoming start of the season. The preparation phase offers exciting ice hockey and the chance to discover new talent. Whether the teams can confirm their performances in the regular season remains to be seen, but the results so far are impressive.
