The situation surrounding the drinking water supply in Dachau remains tense. Following recent incidents in which water may be contaminated in several areas of the city, the city administration highlights that investigations into the cause of the contamination are still ongoing. Today, November 4, 2025, water samples were taken again to test the effectiveness of the weekend's flushing measures. The first results from these samples are expected to be available late Tuesday afternoon. Until then, the precautionary boiling requirement will remain in force for several areas of the city in order to protect the health of citizens. The districts of Dachau, Obergrashof, Webling, Steinkirchen and certain areas in Bergkirchen and Karlsfeld are particularly affected. The boiling water requirement cannot currently be lifted in some areas, which is particularly a challenge for residents.
