Dachau vs. Wacker Munich: A thrilling preparation game ends 1-1!
An exciting test match between TSV Dachau 65 and FC Wacker Munich ended in a fair 1-1 draw. The game took place on July 10, 2025 as part of preparations for the upcoming season. Wacker Munich, now coached by Fabian Lamotte, recently rose from the district league to the state league via relegation and left no doubt during the game that they represent a tough challenge.
Severin Buchta scored the first goal of the game for the guests in the 67th minute. Only shortly before the end, in the 87th minute, did TSV Dachau equalize through Berkant Barin. Coach Christian Doll was very satisfied with the effort of his players and praised the implementation of the tactical guidelines. The last preparatory game for Dachau is on July 13th at 1:30 p.m. against SVN Munich.
TSV Dachau 1865: A club with tradition
The football department of TSV Dachau 1865 has over 500 members and looks back on an eventful history. While the first men's team was promoted to the Landesliga Südwest in the summer of 2012, the jump to the Bayernliga followed two years later. After a decade in the highest Bavarian amateur team, the team suffered a setback in 2024 and was relegated to the state league. But the department remains optimistic and energized to tackle the upcoming season.
What is particularly noteworthy is the club's focus on integrating young talent. The aim is to integrate the U19 players into the men's team and to promote close cooperation between the youth and coaching teams. This cooperation is pursued particularly intensively from the U17 youth level onwards.
Amateur football in Bavaria and Germany
Amateur football in Germany, including Bavaria, spans numerous clubs and teams. With around 24,500 football clubs and around 140,000 teams, up to 1.5 million games are played each season. The German Football Association (DFB) is the central umbrella organization that supports a package of measures to strengthen football in the lower leagues.
With an annual financial subsidy of around 120 million euros for amateur football, a large part of these funds goes into organizing games and competitions. Around 10,000 volunteers are committed to this area nationwide and ensure that amateur football remains alive, which not least benefits TSV Dachau.
In this exciting time of preparation, players and coaches are looking forward to the challenges ahead. It remains to be seen whether they can build on their old successes in the new season. One thing is certain: the passion and cohesion at TSV Dachau is unbroken.
