In calendar week 25 there was a lot of activity in the Cham district, which kept the fire departments on their toes. Again KFV Cham reported, numerous operations took place that brought with them a wide range of challenges.

The second week of the Whitsun holidays was not characterized by many exercises or training courses, but the activities were even more varied. On the night of Thursday, June 19th, a fire broke out in a bakery in Waldmünchen. An oven generated high levels of heat and smoke, prompting the fire department to open the oven with a spreader and extinguish it.

Vegetation fire and technical assistance

On Saturday, June 21st, the fire department was called to a vegetation fire near Obernried. The emergency services had to work for several hours in high temperatures, which made the conditions less than pleasant. A farmer provided assistance by bringing water to extinguish the fire.

Another serious incident occurred in Walderbach, where a person was trapped under an overturned tractor. Thanks to the fire department's quick action, the affected person was freed and the emergency services took over medical care.
