Family tragedy in Vilsbiburg: daughter kills mother and takes life

On Sunday, July 27, 2025, the emergency services of the Vilsbiburg police inspection were alerted when a relative discovered two lifeless people in a family home. The Landshut criminal police have taken over the investigation and revealed that a 39-year-old initially shot her 72-year-old mother before she committed herself.

The murder weapon was in the legal possession of the 39-year-old, although no evidence of third party participation has been found so far. In order to clarify the cause of death, the Landshut public prosecutor has ordered a forensic medical examination of the two corpses.
