False money and drugs: Control in Mittenwald ends in jail!

On Friday afternoon, July 4, 2025, a coach in Mittenwald was checked by federal police officers. In a 38-year-old passenger, the police discovered counterfeit money, drugs and a fake ID document. In a dramatic turn, the man who is without a permanent residence in Germany not only found a few grams of cannabis, but also 22 fake 50-euro notes, which he obviously wanted to get rid of.

The border police veils were immediately consulted to clarify the situation. The fake Italian ID document could quickly be identified as totally fake. The man was temporarily arrested and the following day at the request of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, presented to an investigative judge who sent him in custody. The close cooperation between the officials of the federal police, the Bavarian veil investigators and the Garmisch-Partenkirchen criminal police enabled this important success in the investigation.
