Roßtaler Weg, 90574 Roßtal, Deutschland - On Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2025, a fire broke out in an apartment building in the Großweismannsdorf (Lkrs. Fürth), Roßtaler. Shortly after 5:00 p.m., the fire brigade received an emergency call about the fire, which was presumably caused by a glowing cigarette of a resident. When the emergency services arrived, a hedge was already on fire and the fire had spread to a carport.

The volunteer fire brigade was able to quickly control the fire. Despite the rapid reaction, several damage was caused: the hedge and the carport burned down, and the facade insulation, a car and a photovoltaic system also suffered damage. The total damage is estimated on an average five -digit amount. For safety reasons, the three residents went to a hospital as a precaution for examining possible flue gas poisoning.
