Bamberg is looking for the best climate protection projects – apply now!

Bamberg is in the starting blocks for what is now the third climate protection prize, which is awarded by the Bamberg Climate and Energy Agency. The city and the district of Bamberg have been committed since the founding of the Bamberg Climate Alliance In September 2008, they committed their efforts to climate protection. The prize honors outstanding achievements in the areas of climate protection and adaptation to climate change and is intended to make local commitment visible. The numerous projects and ideas that have been implemented in recent years show how important this initiative is.

For 2025, the climate protection prize will be awarded in four categories. Private individuals, organizations as well as schools and other institutions, businesses or services and businesses can apply here. In the special category, a prize is also awarded for young tinkerers and inventors. Each of these categories offers prize money of 1,000 euros.

Innovative approaches required

We are looking for projects, initiatives or technologies that actively contribute to environmental and climate protection. The criteria are clear and demanding: only realized projects from the city and district of Bamberg will be considered, except in the special category, where sketches of ideas can also be submitted.
