On July 3, 2025, Bad Kissingen will be the venue for an extraordinary music event. Under the title “Takeover”, six classical instrumentalists unite with the popular soul singer Stefanie Heinzmann. The event takes place in the Arkadenbau tourist information center in the Kurgarten and promises an exciting mix of classic sounds and modern pop songs.
The concept of this event is promising: Led by arranger Miki Kekenj, the ensemble will present Stefanie Heinzmann's well-known songs in a new sound. Classical instruments are used to emphasize the emotional depth of the pop songs and combine them with classical quotes in a sound painting masterpiece. The event will be interrupted by a short break so that the audience can fully enjoy the musical performance.
The event in detail
The first performance begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by another performance at 11:15 a.m. A variety of performances are on the program in the afternoon:
- 15:00 Uhr: Gunther Rost und Ute Rost mit Werken von J. S. Bach und Louis Vierne
- 15:30 Uhr: OJPA-Alicantes Youth Orchestra unter der Leitung von Francisco Maestre, die mit beliebten Walzern von Johann Strauss auftrumpfen
- 16:30 Uhr: Luowen Huang spielt Werke von Haydn, Mozart, Schubert und Ravel
A special highlight of the afternoon is the performance of Loew’s “De Moorkatenoper”, which begins at 6 p.m. and features a well-known ensemble. Dirk Audehm takes the lead in directing.
An evening full of highs
The crowning conclusion is the performance of Mozart's “Le nozze di Figaro” at 7:00 p.m. No matter whether you prefer the cast of Chao Deng and Katharina Konradi or that of Davide Luciano and Maria Bengtsson - there is something here for every opera lover.
