Bad Kissingen in lights: Christmas market opens on November 25th!
The contemplative time of year is approaching, and Bad Kissingen is preparing for one of the region's most beautiful traditions: the Christmas market. The Bad Kissinger shine starts on Tuesday, November 25th and will be open until December 26th for Christmas lovers of all ages. The festively decorated market square will once again be transformed into a veritable “sea of lights,” which will attract not only locals but also numerous overnight guests.
Official opening hours are Monday to Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., while the stalls remain lit until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday to Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays, visitors can expect cozy hours from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Christmas Eve especially from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The ceremonial opening will take place on Friday, November 28th at 5:30 p.m. on the market square, where Mayor Dr. Dirk Vogel, the Rose Queen and Santa Claus will ensure the festive atmosphere. This special moment is accompanied musically by the Bad Kissingen Youth Music Corps.
A feast for the senses
What can market visitors expect this year? The gastronomic stalls offer a tempting selection: wood-fired bread, tarte flambée, delicious crepes and even a children's carousel enrich the Christmas ambience. The Obere Marktstrasse beckons with stalls offering warm hats, cozy socks and numerous Christmas accessories. And that's not all: in the craftsman's hut, visitors can discover exquisite Christmas decorations and creative gift ideas.
In addition, a varied supporting program on the stage at Laden Leguano provides entertainment. Musical performances and plays promise happy hours for the whole family. This is also particularly popular Bad Kissinger gift voucher, which is available in more than 100 stores and can be redeemed in denominations of 5, 10 and 25 euros without an expiration date.
Cultural highlights and attractions
Bad Kissingen doesn't just have a lot to offer in Advent during Advent. The Christmas market is a real treat for fans of regional delicacies and traditional handicrafts.
