FC Augsburg stars in action: U21 European Championship starts in Slovakia today!

Augsburg, Deutschland - The Bundesliga is during the summer break, but that in no way means that there is peace at FC Augsburg. Many professionals of the association are currently traveling with their national teams. Samuel Dessende was substituted in the 75th minute in the 2-0 test game of the DR Congo against Madagascar. Kristijan Jakić was also on the pitch, who was deployed from the 81st minute in the convincing 5-1 success of Croatia via the Czech Republic. Elvis Rexhbecaj was allowed to play against the comors from the start in the 4-2 victory of Kosovo and was replaced at half-time.

For other Augsburgers such as Cédric Zesiger and Dimitris Giannoulis, the match day was less pleasant because they were not used against Bulgaria in the 4-0 win of Switzerland against the USA and in the 4-0 test game in Greece. Steve Mounié, on the other hand, did the full 90 minutes, but was unable to prevent the 0-1 defeat of his Beninian team against Morocco. While most of the Augsburg professionals say goodbye to the summer break, Chrislain Matsima stands out, who starts the U21 European Championship with the French national team on June 11th. He plays his first group game against Portugal.
