Haching wants the next victory: Unterhaching meets Aschaffenburg!
September 22nd, 2025 is just around the corner and SpVgg Unterhaching will be heading to the old town of Aschaffenburg on Tuesday, September 23rd. An exciting duel in the Bavarian Regional League will kick off at 7:00 p.m. in uhlsport PARK. The Hachinger host SV Viktoria Aschaffenburg, who are currently in a rather shaky place in the table. While Unterhaching shines as league leaders, Aschaffenburg is only in second-to-last place, which makes expectations for the game uncertain.
In the last meeting between the two teams in May 2023, the game ended in a 0-0 draw. A result that both teams will want to blow up on Tuesday. Unterhaching didn't have things going quite smoothly last week and only played 1-1 against Buchbach, with the Hachingers having to play outnumbered in the second half after an emergency stop. Head coach Sven Bender is currently warning about Aschaffenburg's compact style of play. “It won’t be an easy game,” says the coach optimistically.
Personnel situation and change of coach
A ray of hope for Unterhaching: Keeper Erion Avdija returns to goal after a two-game ban. However, the team will have to do without Manuel Stiefler, who is out due to a red card against Buchbach. The team is strong, but the opponents cannot be underestimated. Aschaffenburg also has personnel changes and has high hopes for their new coach, Aytac Sulu. This should not only give the team stability, but also the necessary boost.
The start of the season for SV Viktoria Aschaffenburg was anything but smooth. Only one point from the first three games caused concern. After a 1-0 win over TSV Schwaben Augsburg they were able to claim their first three-pointer, followed by five defeats. However, the last game ended well for Aschaffenburg: a 3-2 win against DJK Vilzing, who were able to at least pull their heads out of the loop to some extent.
Look at the statistics
There have been ten encounters in the history of the two teams so far, with Unterhaching winning three times and five games ending in a draw. The statistics could encourage the host, but football is known for delivering surprises. A win could hypothetically see Aschaffenburg climb to 11th place, which would give them much-needed confidence.
Referee Jonas Krzyzanowski will lead the game together with his assistants Moritz Hägele and Richard Conrad. We can be curious to see whether Hachinger can consolidate their top position or whether Aschaffenburg can take the next step into a better table region.
So, who will win the game on Tuesday? We will soon see the answer to this on the spot. Spectators hope for an exciting match that everyone can get excited about!
