Free trip to Munich: Political Congress for Youth!

Something is happening for young people in Bavaria: On November 8, 2025, a very special congress will take place in the Bavarian State Parliament dedicated to young, politically active people. The event, which was initiated by State Parliament President Ilse Aigner, is intended to create a platform for exchange, political education and networking. The invitation goes out to all politically active young adults between the ages of 16 and 30 from all over Bavaria. It is important to encourage young people to take an active part in political discussions - regardless of their party affiliation. Loud Upper Palatinate echo Participation in this event is not only free for young people, a free trip is also offered, which is organized by the Amberg-Sulzbach municipal youth work.

The journey to Munich is intended to give young people the opportunity to engage more intensively with political issues. A varied program awaits participants from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The focus here is on interactive workshops and discussions. There will be a breakfast at the start, followed by a panel discussion on the power of narratives in politics. Training courses on modern election campaigns and strategies against hate speech are planned for the afternoon. Participants can look forward to a media workshop entitled “How to sell democracy online (fast)”. The day ends with an evening reception where there is certainly no shortage of exchanges. Political education for young people

The importance of political education is often discussed in discussions. Loud Bavaria state parliament Congress shows that it is crucial to promote young people's political interest. Although political interest among youth is generally lower than among adults, continued education and enlightenment efforts are seen as key to changing this condition. The congress therefore also offers workshops to analyze current political mechanisms in order to give participants the opportunity to improve their own skills for political participation.

The development of political attitudes among young people shows a dynamic change. As the Federal Agency for Civic Education notes, social changes have taken place since the Second World War that influence political participation. Young people are shaping their own political identities rather than following traditional loyalties. These developments are a reason for both the declining political interest and the need for new forms of political participation.

A congress like this could actually represent an opportunity to strengthen young voices and promote their political participation. It remains to be seen how many will be attracted by this initiative. One thing is certain: the future of the political landscape could lie in the hands of Bavarian youth.
