What a weekend is ahead of us! With summer temperatures in the Allgäu, the residents and visitors can look forward to a variety of exciting events. Among the highlights, the premiere of the play "1525 - Peasant War" stands out. On Saturday, June 14th, it will start at the Allgäu Freilichtbühne in Altusried at 8 p.m.

The staging attracts with an impressive backdrop in which hundreds of amateur actors, horses and a fascinating pyrotechnics fireworks come together. Under the motto "We are free, and we want to be free", which derives from the 12 articles from Memmingen, the piece addresses the struggle of simple people for their rights and privileges. This is what author Christian Schönfelder and director Sebastian Schwab tell a moving story of love, hope and striving for justice, while they also indicate the bloody consequences of the Peasant War. The historical context shows the painful fights of the farmers and craftsmen against serfdom and arbitrary taxes.

But not only the play ensures variety. For the smaller visitors, the children's adventure day in the Alpsee Bergwelt will also take place on Saturday.
