Lindau Fair: Lights and enjoyment on Lake Constance attract thousands!

A real highlight for young and old: The fair in Lindau on Lake Constance opened its doors from November 7th to 11th, 2025. Prominently located on the shores of Lake Constance, right in front of the harbor entrance, it impresses with an atmosphere that exudes the scent of cotton candy, bratwurst and roasted almonds. The glowing rides are reflected in the water and magically attract visitors. Around 60 rides and numerous amusement and snack stands are just waiting to be discovered, like this Swabian newspaper reported.

The “Alpenflug” chain plane, which is located right next to the old Mangturm, promises special thrills. An absolute highlight is the impressive 35 meter high Ferris wheel, which offers a magnificent view over Lake Constance and the surrounding Alps. New this year is the fast-paced “Avenger” ride, which delights many locals and tourists with its spectacular spins and exciting light effects in the bus parking lot in front of the art museum. The fair has a long tradition that dates back to 1652. Firmly integrated into the Lindau autumn, it embodies the charm of regional traditions.

Grocery market and special offers

The Krämermarkt, which leads through the picturesque streets of the old town to Reichsplatz, has around 140 traders offering handmade products such as hats and soaps. Here you can find everything your heart desires, and thousands of visitors take the opportunity to enjoy the diverse offerings. Particularly worth mentioning is the shopping Sunday on November 9th, when shops in Lindau are open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. On this day, the community meets to shop together and experience the atmosphere of the fair.

The opening hours are as follows: The grocer's market is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., while the rides provide excitement until 9:45 p.m. On Tuesday, the last day of the fair, there is a family day where reduced fares are offered to make it easier for families and children to visit. To get there, it is advisable to take the train to Lindau-Insel train station or take the Vorarlberg Lines ships.

Special information about arrival

Before you set off for the fair, be aware that on the day of the Sparkasse 3-Country Marathon there will be a complete closure of the island access from Europaplatz from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. If you want to travel by car, you can use the P2 car park on the mainland. The streets are regulated a little differently, but that shouldn't get in the way of anyone visiting the fair!

The fair in Lindau is a permanent institution and a highlight in the event calendar. Visiting it is a must for anyone who lives in the area or is planning a combat trip to the water. Additional offers such as visits to the Mangturm, which is open from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the fair, are also worth planning. Don't miss this spectacle!
