For this purpose, the road maintenance department has eight district-owned vehicles and one rented vehicle at its disposal.

Salt treasure and winter service vehicles

A warehouse of up to 4,000 tons of salt is kept ready in Weißenburg in order to be able to cover the average winter requirement of 1,500 to 1,600 tons for all roads in the district. The grit is stored in the summer months so that we can react quickly in the winter.
