Greens rely on diversity: 60 candidates nominated for district council elections!

On Friday evening an important meeting of the district association of the Greens took place at the Gasthof zur Post. The occasion was the assembly meeting at which the district council list for the upcoming local elections was decided. The Mercury reports that spokeswoman Annette Schulze was very happy about the complete list of 60 candidates and 15 substitutes.

The Greens paid particular attention to the balanced representation of both women and men from different regions and communities in the district. Martin Adler's suggestion to vote on the list in blocks was accepted, although there was opposition from Eckart Stüber. This shows that the selection process is also being discussed within the Greens, which speaks for a lively democratic life.
