Cross -border hiking: Trattberg brings regions together!

St. Koloman, Österreich - In an impressive backdrop, the Trattbergalm agricultural community, together with the EUREGIO Salzburg-berchteser Land-Traunstein recently employees of regional tourism organizations to the Trattberg. The event took place in St. Koloman and focused on the cross -border hiking and the exchange about projects that benefit the region. With a height of 1,756 meters, the Trattberg is one of the most impressive peaks of the Osterhorn Group and not only offers breathtaking views, but also a rich leisure offer.

In addition, the new way was launched to hold marriage ceremonies in the natural backdrop of the Trattberg.

an exchange with tradition

The meetings in the Bavarian Salzburg Exchange are now a nice tradition that has existed for several years. Previous events took place in different locations, including the locomotive shed in Rosenheim, the Jennerbahn in Schönau am Königssee, the salt woods in Hallein as well as numerous breweries and the Höhlenburg in Stein an der Traun. The aim of these meetings is to promote the networking of tourist information and excursion destinations and thus to address mobile guests across borders.

"The positive response and the great interest in further events show that we are on the right track," report the organizers. The next meeting is already planned for autumn in Berchtesgaden. "Here we would like to further deepen the successful approaches," said an event manager optimistically.

euregio: together strong

The Euregio Salzburg - Berchtesgadener Land - Traunstein since 1995 is a voluntary association at the regions Salzburg, Berchtesgadener Land and Traunstein connects. The organization pursues the goal of strengthening cultural and economic cooperation as well as promotion in tourism, education and sport. Particular attention is paid to the development of cross -border projects to further advance the region.

The history of this Euregio goes back to the 90s, when geopolitical changes made increased cooperation between the regions necessary. It now comprises almost 400 members and around 1.3 million inhabitants. It is essential to initiate and support projects that promote cooperation beyond the borders.
The membership cities are particularly proud of the Euregio project Saalachsteg and the Mozart cycle path, which not only contribute to regional identity, but also regard as popular tourist attractions.

The Euregio's efforts to strengthen regional development and competitiveness are visible signs of a living European idea - and the Trattberg will certainly help to further promote cross -border cooperation.
