In Schwarzach, in the Straubing-Bogen district, an unpleasant incident occurred during the afternoon in which a car crashed into an alpaca pasture. The driver, who was traveling on the SR33 from Schwarzach towards Lindforst, ignored a “give way” sign. This led to a collision with a 19-year-old driver coming from the direction of Bernried. The two vehicles collided in the intersection and began to spin. As a result, the car with its occupants spun across the road and landed in an adjacent alpaca pasture, where it damaged the fence. Fortunately, the alpacas grazing there were unharmed.

Less than two days later, on Monday evening, the community had to deal with another traffic accident. How mainpost.de According to reports, an 83-year-old wanted to cross the intersection with federal highway 22 in the direction of Haidt in her Opel from Bamberger Straße. She overlooked a BMW that had the right of way and was coming from the left. The collision was unavoidable and both drivers sustained minor injuries.

The 83-year-old received immediate medical attention and was taken to hospital. Her 26-year-old opponent was released after a short treatment on site. The accident report was supported by 21 helpers from the Schwarzach fire department, who also helped to secure the accident site. Both vehicles were no longer drivable after the collision and had to be recovered by a towing service. Overall, property damage amounted to around 36,000 euros.

It is incidents like these that show us once again how important it is to follow traffic rules and always be attentive. In Schwarzach, where two accidents occurred within a very short space of time, there seems to be a certain relaxation of vigilance.
