Winter enjoyment: short trip to the star restaurant on Lake Starnberg!

On November 28th, 2025 it's that time again: the Christmas countdown is running and many are looking forward to contemplative hours. For pleasure lovers there is now particularly exciting news from picturesque Starnberg on Lake Starnberg. Here visitors can expect not only a winter break, but also culinary highlights in the renowned restaurant Aubergine gourmet restaurant, which has been awarded a Michelin star since 2014.

The Hotel Vier Saison Starnberg, a 4-star superior hotel, impresses with cozy rooms and first-class service. The atmosphere tastes like relaxation and offers everything your heart desires. Whether skating on Lake Weßlinger See or taking a walk to Leutstettener Moos – the Upper Bavarian lake region offers plenty of hiking fun. A visit to the famous Andechs Monastery is also an absolute must.

Culinary adventures and events

At Aubergine, run by star chef Maximilian Moser, guests have the luxury of trying a “Best of” menu in January and February 2026. Moser and his team rely on creative seasonal dishes constructed around a central “hero” dish to create harmonious flavor compositions. In addition to the classic menus, an à la carte offer will also be available from December 2026.

There is also the special “Young Gourmets” promotion, which offers a 4-course menu for those born in 1990 and younger for 99 euros twice a week. Cooking enthusiasts should not miss the cooking courses with the star chef on January 11th, February 15th and March 15th, 2026.

Pampering program for all senses

If you would like to relax after your culinary adventures, you will find an attractive wellness and fitness area in the attic of the Hotel Vier Saisonn. The second restaurant, Oliv’s, which is open 365 days a year, provides Mediterranean delights. And the Hemingway Bar with its “Rumflight” offers another reason to pamper yourself with around 160 types of rum from 37 countries.

The gourmet restaurant Aubergine has brilliantly defended its first Michelin star in November 2014, making it the only one with this award in the Starnberg-Ammersee region. The enthusiasm of the entire team is the driving force behind the unique taste experience that awaits guests. Evening newspaper reports that the hotel with 115 rooms and seven suites is ready to transport its guests to a winter oasis of well-being - the perfect place to enjoy the cold season.
