Coach Victor Kleinhenz commented on the upcoming challenge in the 3rd league, which he described as a “mammoth task”. Here it is important to quickly adapt to the higher tempo and flexibility in defense. In the regional league, the team trained three times a week, and now six to seven sessions per week are planned, which also presents new challenges for some players who are working or in training.
New arrivals and test games
The new additions so far demonstrate a clear focus on the storm. Wintzheimer, who was most recently at 1. FC Nuremberg Due to injury, he only made 16 appearances in which he scored two goals and three assists. Also Dietz, whose path took him over the 1. FC Cologne Due to injuries in the second half of the season, he only made seven appearances at SCR Altach (2 goals, 1 assist).
Another face in training was 21-year-old right-back Niko Djolonga, who has the opportunity to prove himself as a test player. His previous position took him to HNK Hajduk Split, from where he would now like to continue his career in Germany.
