The ticket costs just 1 euro per day and is intended not only for public school students, but also for trainees and participants in certain volunteer programs. In order to take advantage of this attractive offer, the place of residence and the school or training facility must be in the NVM area, which also includes the districts of Schweinfurt, Rhön-Grabfeld, Kitzingen, Main-Spessart and Haßberge.
Easy: Receiving the ticket

The relevant school or training facility must support the evidence - a stamp or signature is required here. And for many students there is even the option of receiving the ticket automatically through the school; The costs for this are borne by the school transport provider.
The ticket itself consists of a regular card, which requires proof of eligibility, and a token that is valid for 12 months. There is also a practical digital version as a barcode for self-payers, where an official photo document must be presented. Existing 365 euro tickets that were valid in the former VVM can continue to be used until they expire.
What's behind it?
The offer is financed by the Free State of Bavaria, which covers two thirds of the costs. The municipalities in the association share the remaining costs. The goal is clear: the young people should be mobile and be able to easily explore the region without having to worry about high travel costs.
With the upcoming introduction of the NVM (New Mainfranken Local Transport Association) in 2023, which will replace the VVM, the network area has also been expanded.
