Successful film premiere shows the diversity of foundations in Regensburg!
On June 30, 2025, the premiere of the first image film of the Regensburg Municipal Foundations under the title “Diversity of Foundations” took place in the Kumpfmühl community center. Despite the oppressive heat that prevailed that day, the event was a complete success. Guests were served fresh popcorn and the mood was cheerful. In her speech, Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer highlighted the colorful diversity of the foundation's work, which ranges from individual case funding to creative project funding.
Those present, from children to seniors, also represented the diversity of the foundation's work in Regensburg. Melanie Brunner from the Office for General Foundation Administration explained to the guests how the project came about and appealed to them to act as multipliers for the foundations. The aim is to do even more good and to appeal to potential donors.
A look at the film
The main actress, nine-year-old Nika Scheuerer, led through the film and presented the opportunities that the foundations offer. Scholarship holder Jelena Schmitz also talked about the financial support she received. As a special highlight of the evening, the St. Wolfgang Middle School choir performed and provided musical contributions that accompanied the event. Rector Markus Kehrer, choir director Paulina Schima and teacher Beate Strohmeier were also among the guests.
The film was produced by Tim Marschall (18 years old) from Blackmind Production, who worked with a lot of commitment on the implementation. The film is now available on the city of Regensburg's website and will be presented at various events to raise awareness of the foundations. Diverse media projects at the University of Regensburg
In parallel to such initiatives, a variety of media projects are taking place at the University of Regensburg that focus on the relevance of visual communication. One example is the video interview project “Meaning and Relevance of Photographic Images” in the winter semester 2024/2025. Here, students can intensively question artists and art educators under the guidance of Martin Rosner. The presentation of these interviews will take place as part of a festival. You can find out more about this on the university's website: [Uni Regensburg](https://www.uni-regensburg.de/sprach-literatur-kultur/medien Wissenschaft/medienprojekte/index.html).
In addition, the exhibition “Handwriting” will be shown there in 2024, which deals with the influence of digital transformation on handwriting. This exciting debate can be attended by anyone interested. Such projects demonstrate how important cultural education and creative expression are for the development of society.
The premiere of the image film and the numerous media initiatives at the university impressively show how both diversity and creativity are promoted in Regensburg. In this sense, it is to be hoped that numerous people will be motivated to get involved with the foundations and the creative projects in their city.
