Bavarian Jazz Weekend 2026: A festival for music lovers in Regensburg!

The jazz weekend in Regensburg has long since made a name for itself - and the anticipation for the next edition is already palpable! From July 2nd to 5th, 2026, the city will once again be transformed into the mecca of jazz with the motto “Jazz in the city, a city in jazz”. Regensburg.de reports that the event includes numerous large stages as well as small, hidden locations throughout the city center. The culinary offerings won't be neglected either - there's something for every taste!

The search for space managers and stand operators is already in full swing. Anyone interested can register online until January 31, 2026 www.jazzwe.de apply. They will then be responsible for organizing and selecting the food and drink stands in places such as Bismarckplatz, St.-Kassians-Platz and Marc-Aurel-Ufer. The new course managers will be announced from February.

Application phase for musicians is ongoing

In addition to the organizational applications, musicians and bands can apply for performances until October 15, 2025. We are looking for national and international jazz musicians of all styles, from Dixieland to swing to free jazz and the latest trends. The event features a diverse selection of music and will take place in more than 100 locations throughout the city center, including alleys, courtyards and even restaurants and bars. Regensburg News informed that applications are made online and further information is available on the event website.
