Putz himself expresses the hope that he will soon be able to refute these accusations, but the presumption of innocence alone is not enough to restore trust.

The mayor states that the financial misery arose from necessary investments in the renovation of schools and the construction of a new daycare center - but that only seems to be a weak argument to explain the change in the cash position from a healthy 10 million euros in debt three years ago to the current situation of almost 19 million.

Budget consolidation as a solution?

The need for a solid budget and a viable budget consolidation concept is emphasized by both the municipality and the district office.
