Students discover technology at Bauer AG: an exciting project day!

On June 12, 2025, the students of the eighth grade of the Michael Sommer Middle School in Schrobenhausen had an exciting project day, which gave them deeper insights into technical professional fields. The boys and girls visited the work of Bauer AG in Aresing, where they were received by specialists and were able to dive directly into the world of technology. Equipped with protective clothing, the youngsters went into various practical workshops in which they were able to lend a hand.

At the beginning of the day, the Mechanik workshop was on the program. Here the students had the task of mounting a pump to an engine. They not only learned how to deal with different tools, but were also able to demonstrate their skills in practice. But that was by no means everything: the second workshop dealt with electronics. Here the pupils analyzed a wiring harness with modern measuring devices under guidance, which offered exciting insights into the world of electronics.

Another highlight of the day was the opportunity to operate a real drilling device on the test site of Bauer AG. First, the young people were allowed to practice on a simulator before they could finally take the machine horn into their own hands.
