New coach Jürgen Filp: Challenge for the DJK Langenmosen!

In Langenmosen the air is getting thinner – and not just because of the summer heat. The DJK Langenmosen has some challenges to overcome after relegation from the district class, and the responsibility for this now lies on the shoulders of Jürgen Filp. The 46-year-old takes on his new role as head coach with fresh enthusiasm after causing a sensation as a double championship coach with SV Waidhofen last year. But the situation at the DJK is anything but rosy, as Donaukurier reports.

The recent relegation hit the DJK hard, and the numbers speak for themselves: in the decisive relegation game they lost significantly against SV Bayerdilling with 1:4. In addition, seven players left the club during the summer break, including well-known names like Langen and Frauenholz, who moved to SV Klingsmoos. The departure of players Hermann and Krammer to TSV Pöttmes and Mayr to SC Mühlried also reflects the turbulent times. Filp has to look for new talent as quickly as possible, as there are currently no new arrivals in sight.

A new concept for the DJK

“I have a good knack for talent,” says Filp optimistically. The new coach, who last year played 351 games as a player and won 202, wants to get the DJK back on track. His goal for the 2025/26 season is clear: a quiet year without the risk of relegation. To achieve this, he plans to rely more on young players and revitalize club life.

Filp would also like to have a playing assistant coach and a new regular keeper in order to broaden the team. Despite his future influence on the team, he modestly emphasizes: “I am not the messiah, and the old successes of the district league will not return overnight.” His approach to leading the DJK Langenmosen back to its former glory sounds like a real challenge that he is not afraid of.

Rumors about personnel planning

There is currently no DJK reserve team in the B class in the air because the staffing level is too thin after the numerous departures. This could make Filp's planning even more difficult. Nevertheless, he is determined to turn things around and give the DJK a future again. It remains to be seen whether this will succeed, but one thing is certain: the coming months will be exciting!

Jürgen Filp, who has an impressive record as a player and coach, is ready for this challenge. At 46 years old, he not only brings experience, but also the will to bring a breath of fresh air into the team, and DJK Langenmosen fans can look forward to that.
