FC Mühldorf has big plans: The club is applying for a grant for the new construction and renovation of its sports facility on Adolf-Kolping-Straße. The project, the total cost of which is over 1.2 million euros, was discussed in detail at a city council meeting at the end of June 2025. Mayor Michael Hetzl warmly welcomed the FC representatives and was impressed by the club's positive preparatory work. But that's not all: the FC is also planning an exchange project for the sports field in Mößling. The old floodlight system will be converted to modern LED lighting, and a new irrigation system with its own well will also be installed. The Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) has already pledged 22 percent of the costs, which corresponds to over 27,740 euros. The previous chairman of the FC, Robert Salzberger, applied for a grant of 24,680.26 euros on November 9, 2023, which initially covered 20 percent of the investment. However, on November 27, 2023, the city's finance committee decided to double the subsidy to 49,360.52 euros, as OVB Online reported.

Important step for young people

The investments made here underline the high value that the city and FC Mühldorf attach to youth work. With over 500 young athletes, the club's youth work is a central element of club life. The relationship between the city councilors and the FC is consistently positive, which became clear during the vote on the subsidies - everyone voted unanimously in favor of the project. The upcoming construction work is scheduled to begin in 2025 after an extraordinary meeting of FC members.
