On Friday, November 30, 2024, the 46th Day of Sports will take place in the Elsenfelder Untermainhalle. As part of the event, outstanding achievements are recognized: International, German and Bavarian champions are honored, and elections for athlete and team of the year are on the program. Visitors have the opportunity to choose their favorites during the event and thus actively participate in what is happening.
Supporters and supporting program
The Sparkasse Aschaffenburg-Miltenberg and the Sporthaus Wolfstetter have become involved as supporters. The Sparkasse provides monetary donations, while the sports store offers vouchers to win. There will also be a raffle for three checks to promote youth sports among participating clubs.
A varied supporting program ensures that the evening remains exciting: a judo demonstration by the Obernburg and Elsenfeld judo club, led by Anja Ühlein, is on the agenda, as is a guard dance by the RCC Röllfeld, led by Dajana Eilbacher. A handball show by TV Großwallstadt, a dance performance by the Alisch Aschaffenburg-Miltenberg dance school and an artistic cycling demonstration by RV Adler Soden will also enrich the evening. The event will be accompanied by music by DJ Lemmy and a standing reception will take place in the foyer following the awards.
Sport promotion in Europe
Such an event is also in the context of larger European sports initiatives. The action Erasmus+ promotes the organization of sporting events that support social inclusion, volunteerism and a healthy lifestyle. The aim is to increase participation in sporting activities and raise awareness of the benefits of sport.
