Bright children's eyes: St. Martin's parade inspires in Lichtenfels!

The feast of St. Martin was duly celebrated in the Maria Theresia kindergarten in Lichtenfels. As mainpost.de reports, the children paraded through the kindergarten facilities with beaming faces and lovingly designed lanterns. Accompanied by a father who played the guitar in an atmospheric way, the well-known St. Martin's songs were played and created a festive atmosphere.

The performance of the “Bear’s Cave,” in which the little ones brought the legend of St. Martin to life, was particularly well received. The “hedgehog children” also delighted everyone with a colorful lantern dance. The children from the “Spatzennetz”, on the other hand, presented heartwarming intercessions and thereby spread the important message of sharing.

A gathering full of joy

After the performances there was enough time for a social get-together, where conversations and togetherness were the focus. A special highlight was the introduction of the new parents' council, which consists of Lisa Bendig, Corinna Bogdahn, Tatjana Böh, Christiane Glauba, Laura Göldner, Armela Knierieme and Stephanie Uhlenhuth. The parents' council warmly thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of St. Martin's Day.

But St. Martin is not only a reason for joy in Lichtenfels. In the small town of Gutach, as fkj-gutach.de informs, a large St. Martin's festival is also organized. On November 11th, the St. Martin's story began at the Hasemann School at 5:30 p.m., followed by a lantern parade that led through the picturesque streets and past the sports hall.

Not only is tradition celebrated there, but physical well-being is also taken care of: Gutach Community Foundation provides rolls and sausages, which are distributed on a donation basis. The drinks also come from the kindergarten's parents' council and participants are allowed to bring their own cups. The event attaches great importance to hygiene, which is why a 3G regulation and a mask requirement are enforced if the minimum distance cannot be maintained.

Tradition in the making

St. Martin's Festival is not only an occasion to give thanks for the year's harvest, but also a festival of lights and lanterns that emphasizes social learning and community. As kindersuppe.de describes, children march through the streets in groups to spread joy with their lanterns and singing. There are also numerous ways to organize the festival creatively: from lantern-making activities to singing together to exciting games.

In both places, the celebrations show how important it is for the community to keep such traditions alive and pass them on. Ultimately, St. Martin's is not just about the lantern parade, but about the values of sharing, charity and togetherness - values that are important in every generation.
