SSG Lichtenfels donates 1,000 euros to BRK – A heart for the region!

The Royal Privileged Sniper Society Lichtenfels sets an example for the community: As part of their friendly shooting, the members donated shooting contributions amounting to 1,000 euros to the BRK district association Lichtenfels. This noble gesture was ceremoniously handed over by first rifle master Harald Goch to the district manager Thomas Petrak during the shooting and folk festival. A specially designed “money card” accompanied the donation, which was warmly received by everyone present.

The donation came about through a generous increase from the club's treasury, which shows that the sniper society not only has shooting sports in its blood, but also assumes social responsibility. “We are pleased to be able to support the BRK and thus contribute to the community,” says Harald Goch.

Commitment to shooting sports

Shooting sports are very important in Germany and the Association of German Sports Shooters (BDS) plays an important role in this. As the second largest sports shooting association in the country, the BDS promotes sporting large-caliber shooting with long and handguns. But that's not all: the wishes and suggestions of active shooters flow directly into the design of the shooting disciplines, which gives the BDS a dynamic and contemporary character. Information about this can also be found on the BDS website, where there is also information about championships and competitions. bds Hesse further reports that the BDS is represented by regional associations in numerous federal states and actively advocates for the interests of shooters and influences legislative processes.

The BDS is not only a sports association, but also offers support in legal questions relating to shooting sports. The association advises its members on all shooting and weapons-related matters and advocates for uniform and fair sports regulations that meet the needs of shooters.

A look into the future

The commitment of the Lichtenfels Sniper Society and the BDS shows that shooting is not just a hobby, but also a platform for taking responsibility and doing good. The handover of the donation and the ongoing work of the BDS are just two examples of how shooting sports contribute to society.

These activities strengthen the connection between sport and social engagement. The shooters in Lichtenfels prove that their hearts not only beat for the competition, but also for the people in the region. Such initiatives should find imitators and be an inspiration for other clubs.
