Music school director Stephan Schultz, the teachers and the students organize the event, which begins with an opening concert at 10 a.m.

The festival not only offers musical performances, but also the opportunity to try out different instruments. In addition to classical instruments, the offering also includes guitar, percussion and string instruments such as violin and cello. Coffee and cake round off the offer, so that your physical well-being is not neglected.

Diversity and quality in music education

The Lichtenfels Music School stands for qualified teaching and numerous public performances. Particular highlights are the regular music competitions, including “Jugend musiziert” and “Glass Harp”. Here the talented students can demonstrate their skills, which is celebrated with a prize winners' concert and corresponding awards. “Voluntary performance tests offer our students the opportunity to earn achievement badges,” the school explains. There is also an instrument carousel for children, where they have the opportunity to try out different instruments.

In addition, the music school attaches great importance to inclusion and offers programs for all age groups. From parent-child groups for the little ones from 12 months to basic musical training, everyone gets their money's worth. Together with the little musicians, we provide a broad musical spectrum, be it through singing, dancing or getting to know instruments for the first time.
