Big celebration for the 100th anniversary of the Neuses Trombone Choir!
The Neuses am Berg trombone choir recently set off on an unforgettable trip to the picturesque wine town of Neuses am Berg in the Kitzingen district. On the occasion of the choir's 100th anniversary, on May 18th was celebrated, numerous festive events took place.
Under the direction of Angela Müller, choir director of the Neuser Trombone Choir, the members went on a circular hike along the beautiful meditation path in the vineyards. It was a successful start to a day of music and togetherness, which was crowned with an exuberant meeting between the two trombone choirs. The event offered a colorful mix of Christian and secular music, which was performed at the “Westal Stier”.
Anniversary celebrations
The 100th anniversary celebrations were an absolute highlight of the year. Over150 wind playersfrom various Protestant and Catholic choirs, brass groups and bands from the region took part. The friendly competition between the former choir director Heinrich Stier and Pastor Uli Vogel ended with Stier winning and so two trumpets were handed over to the youth work.
Mayor Matthias Bielek, District Administrator Tamara Bischof and Dean Kerstin Baderschneider also found words for the congratulations. A ceremony on the town hall square and a certificate presentation by Otto Kramer from the State Trombone Council of the Bavarian State Church rounded off the program. Of course, our physical well-being was also taken care of, because after so much music-making, a refreshment tasted particularly good!
Another highlight
Another special event is just around the corner for all music lovers: OnJuly 13, 2025invite the people of Neuses to the “Kirchgartenfest”, where a concert with Dean’s Office Martin Blaufelder will take place. A warm invitation goes out to all trombone choir friends and interested visitors.
The Neuses trombone choir is not only an integral part of cultural life, but also an important part of the Protestant community. He has established himself as an “ambassador of the gospel” and brings music from around 600 years to people in various institutions, be it hospitals, nursing homes or festive occasions.
